Coast United 18s are Heading to USAV Nationals and Need YOUR Help!

After an impressive performance at USAV's Northeast Qualifier in Philadephia Pennsylvania, the Coast United 18s team are heading to Reno, NV for USAV Nationals AND they are the first team in Club History to earn a bid!!

After multiple flight cancellations, and some even driving through the night to play the following morning, the Coast United 18s team played in the NEQ USAV 18s Qualifier in Philadelphia, PA where they qualified with only 7 players available!

The Coast 18s are the first team in GSJ Club history to qualify for a bid to USAV Nationals!

Currently, the team is raising funds to help cover costs of flights and housing for the tournament which will take place on May 1-3.

GSJ Fundraises for Passed Player in "Ava Strong" T-Shirt Donations

On February 4th, 2026, Grand Strand Juniors Volleyball Club, the Atlantic Collegiate Academy, and the surrounding Myrtle Beach community were deeply impacted by a tragic car accident on SC Highway 90 that sadly later took one of our own, Ava Holland.

Ava was a member of the ACA Varsity volleyball team and the Coast United program at GSJ who was remembered for her quick-witted humor and loving spirit.

Ava passed on three weeks after her accident at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital where she was celebrated in an Honor Walk of over 200 people for the donation of her organs to save others.

GSJ honored Ava in an instagram post shortly after her honor walk stating the following:

"In loving memory of Ava Holland, #18

Three weeks ago, one of our own was caught in a tragic car accident that sadly later took her life. Although Ava is no longer with us on this Earth, her legacy and sweet spirit will continue to live on through the lives of eight others. Ava’s sacrifice has allowed eight other lives to be saved through the donation of her organs. What a beautiful legacy to leave on this Earth.

We want to thank everyone for the utmost support for the Holland family over these last three weeks. Whether through your donation at our tournament, your purchase of a t-shirt, or kind words left in Ava’s memory, every ounce supported the Holland family through this tragedy.

We will continue to honor Ava’s lasting legacy in our gym and on the court as we will always Play for Ava.��

GSJ continued to support the Holland Family through a t-shirt fundraiser in the months of March and April where all proceeds went directly to the Holland Family.

Two More Coast 18 Athletes Commit to College Programs!

Coast United 18s Outsides Lilly Loeswick and Jada Porter both Commit to College Programs

Coast United 18s Class of 2026 OH, Lilly Loeswick, has committed to Coastal Carolina University to play both Beach and Indoor Volleyball.

Loeswick follows in her older sister, Bella Loeswick's, footsteps as she is also on the Indoor team. Loeswick will also be coached by her father head coach for the Chanticleers on the indoor side.

This announcement comes shortly after the Coast 18s dominate the Winter Bump Classic in Mid-January to take home 18s Gold.

Our GSJ Family extends the best wishes to Lilly and her family on her recent commitment to CCU.

Coast United 18s Class of 2027 OH, Jada Porter, has committed to Emmanuel University to play indoor volleyball.

Both Porter's parents played sports at the collegiate level with her Father playing football West Alabama University and her Mother playing basketball for Liberty University.

Porter's Commitment occurred shortly before Christmas prior to a phenomenal start to the Coast United 18s 2026 season.

GSJ Partners with BoxOut Sports!

After a successful meeting at the AVCA Convention's Business Exchange in December, Grand Strand Juniors followed up with BoxOut Sports to expand our media and graphic efforts in partnering with the sports graphics site.

Previously partnered with Gipper, this new partnership brings a fresh perspective on media insights for the club and it's Toast of the Coast Tournament Series affiliates.

GSJ is looking forward to this partnership and the future it holds!
